Dear Lauren,

Here’s the check and as for when we get the CD you can do whatever is easiest for you. I would think it is to take it home whenever you go and solve delivery problems then. The whole thing, you in the chorus and the trip to England is very exciting and I wonder how you get any studying done. I am so overwhelmed by what the young people today are expected to do and how well they cope with it all.

Now, as to your invitation to attend a recital at school— my first reaction was a big YES! Then reality set in. I talked it over with grandpa for when it comes to anything musical he is way ahead of me. For instance when I informed him of your email he was very interested and commented how good your musical ability was as he was so impressed when he saw and heard you sing reading music. We talked it over and agreed it would be too long a day for us. He can not see much now as he is still recovering from his second cataract operation. While I am doing very well I tire easily.
